Jeffrey (Jeff) Eggers has practiced law in Johnson County, Indiana since 1981. Born and raised in Johnson County, Jeff obtained his law degree from Valparaiso University, then returned home to practice law. After working in private practice for two years, Jeff became Judge of the Johnson County Superior Court 2 in 1983. Jeff was elected as Judge of the Johnson County Circuit Court in 1987, and remained in that position until 1994.
Jeff re-entered private practice in 1994, and has maintained a general practice in Franklin since that time. For more than a decade, Jeff has worked together with Andrew Woods as the firm of Eggers Woods. Jeff’s practice includes business law, criminal law, and real estate matters. Jeff also works in the areas of estate planning, wills and trusts, and probate. Jeff accepts appointments as a mediator and an arbitrator.
Jeff is married and has three grown children. His son, Drew, is also a lawyer, and currently works for the Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office. In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

PLEASE NOTE: As of October 31, 2016, Jeff will be serving as the permanent Judge Pro Tem in Morgan Superior Court 3. Jeff was appointed to this position by the Indiana Supreme Court, and will be serving in this position until a new judge is appointed by the Governor. Due to his role as Judge Pro Tem, Jeff will be out of the office and will not be assisting clients during this time. Andrew Woods and Catherine Kyle will be handling matters on Jeff’s behalf until his return to the office.
